Recycled Coffee Cup Card

Howdy Crafters - I saved a Tim Horton's Coffee Cup to create the coffee cup on this card. Maybe I should have went through the trash at Tim Horton's and collected some throw-away coffee cups that have this lovely design on them  - just saying - love how my coffee cup turned out. Michigan Christmas 2015

Howdy Crafters - Today I was inspired by the weather that took place here in Michigan on Christmas Day to create this Christmas/Winter card. 
Those who live in Michigan are used to having at least some SNOW on the ground Christmas Day - however, this year, it was a nice and sunny day - at least in Grand Blanc -so nice and warm that hubby did not wear a coat to the family gathering. As for me, I like SNOW on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then it could be in the 70's all year long - I know, in my dreams! Needless to say, I was Dreaming of a White Christmas this year, but basically this card depicts what Christmas Day really was like on December 25, 2015.

Christmas Mini Album

Hi Crafters - I had so much stuff piled high on my crafting table and this idea came to me - Make a mini album using some of this clutter - and boy did I have fun making this album. BTW, do not throw out Christmas cards - recycle them into tags and such - then use them on your mini album - I had some stamped items & die cuts laying on my craft table, so I was able to  get the "Clutter cleaned up pretty well by adding them to this album. Magic Snowman Slider Card

Howdy Crafters -
I have another slider card - OK I am addicted - The card Dawn created was for Valentines but I turned mine into a Winter ~ Christmas Card ~ 

Basically, you have a black and white stamped image stamped on acrylic that shows on the front, then when you slide that image out of the card - the second stamped image on white cardstock is colored. Super Cool!

Another NEW TECHNIQUE for me: I also tried this for the first time and it turned out very well - I stamped the white cardstock on front of my card first,  then I ran it through the Cuttlebug using an embossing folder with a paper towel on the embossing part - it gave me a cool wood look background with stamped images - works great!

Textured Paste Tag

Howdy Crafters - Recently I did a search on making your own textured paste. I found several recipes and decided on that I already had the supplies to mix make the paste. Here is a tag I created using the textured paste on a stencil - thanks for stopping by and be blessed ~ Gail ~

Recipe
Textured Paste
1/2 cup of baking soda
2 Tablespoons of Elmer's White School Glue
1 Tablespoon of Acrylic white paint - can add more
Mix and store in a class jar
Use on project and recommended to dry over night before using

When making the paste you can add more paint or glue or water to get the thickness you desire - I added a bit more glue as I felt the paste was too thick, however, there are people that like to use the thicker texture. I can see many uses for this paste - like clouds, snow, etc. This is my first time at using this wet medium - loving it!

NOTE: Baby powder can be substituted for the baking soda and Mod Podge can be substituted for the White Glue

Coffee Gal ~ Winter Card

Howdy Crafters - I watched a You Tube Video today on how to make 4 cards and one matching box [box is too small to hold the cards] using one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock as the decorative mat for the card/box. I found that one 12x12 sheet of would make 6 mats, therefore I created 6 mats and made 6 base cards, but I will use different stamps and embellishments over the next few weeks for the remaining 5 card bases. 
I did not want to make all of my cards identical. I did, however, want a winter theme card to use for Christmas or as a general card to send to someone. I love this coffee gal and sentiment - isn't she a hoot with her tennis shoes. Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day.
